Application Guidelines

Applicant must be an African American senior who resides and attends high school in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited two year college, two year technical school or a four year college or university. Awards will be based on academic achievment, involvement in school activities, leadership, community service and career goals.

1. Complete the application fully. A complete application must include an official original school transcript with SAT scores, reference letters and an essay. (you can upload your essay and reference letter in the form below)
2. Two reference letters are required, one must be from the guidance counselor.
3. All pertinent informartion must be sent to the scholarship chairperson
4. The scholarship chairperson will notify scholarship recipients of their award by mail.
5. Recipients are required to attend the Jazz Brunch for the formal scholarship presentation.
6. Recipient must show proof of enrollment in a two year college, two year techincal school, four year college or university before the scholarship is awarded.
7. Scholarship must be used in the year which it is awarded.
8. Deadline for submitting application is March 31.
